Description
The heirloom sweet corn that never stops giving. ‘Stowell’s Evergreen’ produces long, creamy-white ears bursting with classic old-fashioned sweetness and full-bodied flavor. Even after harvest, the kernels stay tender and “evergreen” on the stalk longer than any other sweet corn.
Plants grow 7–8 feet tall and yield 8–9 inch ears with 16–20 rows of plump kernels. Best enjoyed fresh from the garden or preserved by freezing or canning.
Introduced in 1848 by Nathan Stowell of New Jersey, this heirloom remains one of the oldest and most beloved sweet corns in the world—an enduring favorite for flavor, reliability, and nostalgic charm.
