Description

The romaine of Southern gardens and American history. ‘Parris Island Cos’ forms tall, upright heads with crisp, pale hearts and tender green outer leaves. The flavor is mild, clean, and refreshing—ideal for Caesar salads and sandwiches.

Plants grow 10–12 inches tall and are heat tolerant, bolt resistant, and highly uniform. Matures in about 70 days with consistent quality throughout the season.

Developed in South Carolina in 1952, this variety became the standard for romaine lettuces nationwide—dependable, flavorful, and beautifully structured.
