Watermelon Radish are heirloom diakons from Asia where it is called Shinrimei. Despite its name, it doesn't actually taste like a watermelon, instead it contains a green outer layer and pink flesh that makes it resemble one. Larger than most radishes, they can range between the size of a golf ball and up to the size of a softball. Their flavor is mild with a slight sweet, peppery taste. Perfect for cooking, pickling, roasting or serving mashed like potatoes.
