Roquette Arugula

Roquette Arugula is a fast growing green with a sharp, peppery, and nutty flavor.  It's tender and smooth leaves are best when picked young, and are ideal for salads or sandwiches, or can be lightly steamed and used in soups or on pizzas.  Roquette Arugula is of Mediterranean origin, and is a cool season crop planted in the early Spring or in the Fall.  It is in the mustard family, and is rich in nutrients like vitamin C, potassium, and antioxidants.  It is cold tolerant and prefers loose, rich, moist soil.  Successive sowings can be planted 3-4 weeks apart.
