80 Days. The Amish Paste tomato is thought to have been first introduced in 1870 within the Amish community of Medford, Wisconsin, the oldest Amish settlement in that state. However, it was introduced and commercialized when Tom Hauch acquired seeds from Amish families in Lancaster Pennsylvania around 1987. It is a favorite and preferred slicer vs paste despite its’ name.
