History:
The California Poppy Mix, also known as Eschscholzia californica, is native to the western United States and Mexico. It holds a significant place in California's history, being designated as the state flower in 1903. The mix comprises various colors, including vibrant oranges, yellows, and whites, reflecting the diversity of the California landscape. With its cheerful blooms and adaptability to various climates, the California Poppy Mix has become a beloved addition to gardens and landscapes worldwide.

Culinary Uses:
While California Poppies are primarily grown for their ornamental value, they do not have culinary applications. It's essential to note that California Poppies are not edible and should not be ingested.

Growth Habit & Planting Instructions:
California Poppies are annual plants that thrive in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. They are relatively low maintenance, requiring minimal watering once established. Sow seeds directly into the garden bed in early spring or late fall, as they prefer cooler temperatures for germination. Scatter the seeds lightly over the soil surface and lightly press them into the ground. Keep the soil consistently moist until seedlings emerge, usually within 10-15 days. Once established, California Poppies will self-seed and naturalize, creating a colorful display year after year.
