Oaxacan Green dent corn is an early maturing dent-type corn that produces ears up to 7--10 inches. Ears contain a vast shade of green which is sought after for decorative purposes. Its stalks are vigorous and reach about seven feet in height. This beautiful dent corn originates amongst the Indigenous people of the Oaxacan region of southern Mexico. It has been cultivated in this region for centuries and it is commonly used to make flour for tortillas and tamales.
