Description
The classic carving pumpkin of autumn. ‘Jack O’ Lantern’ produces round, deep-orange fruits with smooth skin and sturdy walls perfect for carving, painting, or baking. The flesh is bright, fine-grained, and mildly sweet, excellent for pies or roasting.
Fruits average 10–18 pounds on vigorous vines that sprawl 10–12 feet, producing reliably uniform pumpkins by late fall. Hardy and easy to grow, with strong handles for carrying.
Introduced in the mid-20th century, this variety remains the standard for Halloween traditions and festive displays—a true symbol of harvest season.
